KinderSmart is an attendance tracking solution available for iPhones, designed to assist parents in dropping off their children at childcare facilities. The app seamlessly integrates with the Controltec KinderConnect backend system, a platform commonly utilized by state and local government agencies to facilitate subsidized childcare services.
The registration process involves scanning a unique QR code on a parent's iPhone, linking them to the KinderConnect host database. Upon arrival at the childcare facility, the parent scans another QR code displayed onsite, effectively logging their presence in the system.
The check-in and check-out process for children mirrors traditional pen-and-paper sign-in sheets, a familiar practice for most parents.

<li>Child Selection: After scanning the QR code at the childcare provider, the user's screen displays a list of children assigned to them.</li>
<li>Transaction: Users can perform check-in, check-out, or absence transactions by selecting the relevant child and tapping corresponding buttons on the screen. Following this, a signature is required before submitting the record by tapping 'Submit'.</li>
<li>Confirmation: The system promptly acknowledges the transaction.</li>
